PMA All the Way

To help women reach the top in their career, have PMA not PMS. PMA is the acronym for "Positive Mental Attitude". There is no better career advice than: "Have a good attitude". If you are always negative and irritable, nobody will like you and nobody will want to be around you and work with you. It comes as no surprise that people promote people they know and like. PMA is one of the key factors in dealing with people effectively and women who deal with people effectively get promoted! Use PMA as your gateway to the top.

How do you get PMA?

Read, read, read, practice, practice, practice. With all the stress and negative events happening in the world today, it is very important to put positive thought processes into you brain -- remember "Garbage In, Garbage Out". Reading PMA books are the best source of doing this. Listening to CDs are also a good way of learning the PMA thought process. There are 100's of books in print today dealing with self-development and PMA. Here are a few worth mentioning:

  • The Power Of Positive Thinking - Norman Vincent Peale
  • What to Say When You Talk to Yourself - Shad Helmstetter, Ph.D.
  • Success Through A Positive Mental Attitude - Napoleon Hill & W. Clement Stone
  • The Autobiography Of Benjamin Franklin - Benjamin Franklin
The Magic Of Thinking Big - David J. Schwartz, Ph.D.
  • Don't Sweat The Small Stuff At Work - Richard Carlson, Ph.D.
  • Think and Grow Rich - Napoleon Hill
  • Awaken The Giant Within - Anthony Robbins

Here is a desk calendar with PMA verses that you can use to keep positive thoughts in your system:

  • "Believing in Ourselves" Daily Reflections for Women

After you have read a book, you need to put into practice the information you received. On a daily basis, we are put into situations that create stress that will make you want to revert to your old habitual ways of dealing with it. You will need to consciously adhere to the PMA principles you have learned. Think about some situations you have been in. Would things have turned out better for you if you had approached the issue with PMA instead of PMS? Would you at least feel better everyday if you approached it with a ray of sunshine instead of a dark cloud? For most of us, PMA is a learned thought process that requires a dedication to practice until we master ourselves and can have positive outlook on everything in life. It's a matter of choice. Choose wisely and we will Meet You At The TOP!
