Win the War Against the Free Radicals with Antioxidants
 

Free radicals!  It sounds like something from the 60's.  If you live a stressful life or live in a big city where there is smog, you probably have free radicals in your body.  Free radicals cause cell damage that has been linked to cancer.  There is a way you can battle the cell damage free radicals cause.  Start taking in antioxidants on a regular basis.   It is very important to eat foods high in vitamin C, E and Beta Carotene which are all high in antioxidants.  Like all those oranges, parsley, carrots, other fruits and vegetables  -- all the stuff your Mom told you to eat. She was right again.  What if you're the woman who is constantly on the go and can only get a little fruit or a little vegetable on occasion, then you might consider adding an antioxidant supplement to your daily routine.  Most antioxidant supplements come loaded with vitamin C, E and Beta Carotene to help against free radical damage.  Vitamin C helps protect the cell interior, vitamin E works on the cell membrane and Beta Carotene focuses on the capillary system of the cell.  There are also other compounds that can be found in antioxidant supplements.  Some of the more expensive antioxidant supplements come with Pycnogenol, which is a plant extract that helps to support and maintain blood vessels.  Selenium, another plant extract that can also be found in the costlier supplements, has found to be beneficial in the free radical battle.  You now have a choice.  You can eat right everyday or you can start taking antioxidants to supplement your diet and start winning the war against free radicals.
